If you’re from Birmingham, Alabama then you are probably familiar with B&A Warehouse. Its extraordinary reputation has made it a staple venue in the city for quite some time. With a description like “Large or small, lavish or simple, B&A Warehouse is here to provide you with excellent service!” it’s easy to see why the venue is so popular.
We’ve done many events at B&A Warehouse and wanted to spotlight them, so we sat down with Haley Roebuck, the Sales & Marketing Manager for a quick visit.
Initially B&A Warehouse had a very rustic feel, it’s a warehouse after all with lots of wood and the exposed ceilings, but Haley emphasized that the venue can also be very elegant when properly decorated so that it appeals to brides that aren’t necessarily looking for a rustic venue. It’s always helpful to have a space that can be transformed depending on the occasion or theme of the event.
If you’re not familiar with the venue, it includes the Brick Room, typically where a wedding ceremony, reception or both would be held and the Crossing Room, which is the room you enter in from the front of the building and features a stocked bar and restrooms. There is also the Glass Room for smaller or more intimate events or rehearsal dinners, and the Bottle Room which is very unique. If you are looking for an excellent choice of room options of different sizes this is the perfect venue for you! The capacity of the venue varies by room but typically for the Brick and Crossing Room, including a seated meal, it can accommodate as many as 300-350 people.
If you are a foodie and catering is a priority for your event then you’ve found the perfect venue. B&A provides full catering for any event, wedding or corporate. Haley said “they can provide custom menus so that the menu embodies the couple and is personal.” She expressed that they can accommodate for gluten free or vegetarian when given notice. The client picks exactly what they want served, it could be anything. B&A has a very experienced kitchen staff.
Because B&A Warehouse is so versatile we wanted to know what some of their favorite events are, Haley said “her favorite types of events were for nonprofits because they have the space and they want to do what they can to help and give back.” She wanted people to know that they do offer significant discounts on Thursday nights or weekday nights to nonprofit organizations.
Every event is unique and deserves only the best vendors available. We asked Haley what vendors they enjoy working with, she said “her favorite vendors were mostly the ones that have worked with B&A the most and know their way around the venue.” She included Hothouse Design Studio and PropHouse Event Rentals, Lillie Jane and Carol Harris, and Barb’s Cakes and Cakes by Kim. You can rest assured that B&A will suggest proven, trustworthy vendors for your event. That alone is worth checking out this lovely venue.
